First steel cut for SunStone’s fifth Infinity-class vessel

A steel-cutting ceremony was recently held at China Merchants Heavy Industry's facilities in Haimen to mark the start of construction of a new expedition vessel for US-based SunStone Ships.

The vessel will have a length of 104 metres, a beam of 18 metres, a draught of 5.1 metres, and capacity for up to 200 passengers. It will also have ice class 1A and polar code 6 notations.

Onboard amenities will include a swimming pool, a bar, restaurants, lounges, a boutique, a gym, and a spa.
