Finnish shipbuilder Meyer Turku laid the keel for a new cruise ship on Monday, June 14.

The vessel will be the first of three Icon-class ships to be built for US-based Royal Caribbean International. Once completed, it will have LNG-fueled engines and capacity for 5,200 guests.

The ship will sail under the name Icon of the Seas following its delivery in the third quarter of 2023.
