Brodosplit launches Quark Expeditions’ newest polar cruise ship

Croatian shipbuilder Brodosplit launched a new polar expedition cruise vessel into the water on Saturday, May 16.

The LMG Marin-designed vessel, which was ordered by US-based Quark Expeditions, will be named Ultramarine.

When completed, Ultramarine will have a length of 128 metres, a beam of 21.5 metres, accommodations for 200 passengers and 140 crew, and space for inflatable boats, kayaks, and two helicopters.

The value of the vessel is approximately €106 million (US$116.48 million).
