Allseas secures pipeline installation contract offshore Mexico

Allseas has been awarded a construction contract by TC Energy for a major offshore pipeline delivering natural gas to southeast Mexico.

Allseas' state-of-the-art pipelay vessels will install the pipeline, which will run approximately 700 kilometres south along the coast from Tuxpan connecting the ports of Coatzacoalcos and Dos Bocas.

TechnipFMC has been awarded an engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract by Shell for the Jackdaw development located in the UK North Sea.

The contract covers pipelay for a 30-kilometre tieback from the new Jackdaw platform to Shell's Shearwater platform, as well as an associated riser, spoolpieces, subsea structures, and umbilicals.

The tieback will use pipe-in-pipe technology, which is designed for high pressure, high temperature use.

C-Innovation (C-I) and Grand Isle Shipyard (GIS) have completed work on a plug and abandonment contract awarded by Helix Alliance Decom for the provision of pre-feed services for the decommissioning of three offshore platforms for a major deepwater client.

In phase one of the project, C-I provided remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services to deliver marine water inspection and integrated the data to provide live operations for the client operating fixed leg platforms in 165 to 200 feet (50 to 60 metres) of water. GIS' Aerobotics Drone Division meanwhile provided aerial inspection services.

The joint activities were executed to determine the current condition of the wells and the facility, enabling the timely decommissioning of the wells, platform, and jacket for each of the three platforms.

Expro completes subsea decommissioning project on Ireland's first indigenous gas wells

US-based energy services provider Expro has successfully completed the plug and abandonment (P&A) of Ireland's first indigenous gas wells.

Expro provided the delivery of integrated subsea and well test services over an eight-month period to intervene, plug, and abandon subsea wells from a mobile offshore drilling unit located in the Celtic Sea.

The subsea intervention scope utilized Expro's landing string assemblies system, supported by a complete backup system and direct hydraulic topside and subsea controls package.
