Keppel Offshore and Marine (Keppel O&M) subsidiary Keppel Shipyard is undertaking the conversion of an LNG carrier into a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) bound for the Port of Acajutla, El Salvador.
The contract was awarded to Keppel by FSRU Development, a joint venture company between Norway's BW Gas and US-based Invenergy.
The FSRU will be El Salvador's first integrated LNG-to-power project.
