The US Navy commissioned its newest Freedom-variant littoral combat ship (LCS), USS Minneapolis-Saint Paul, in a ceremony in Duluth, Minnesota, on Saturday, May 21.

The LCS is the second US Navy ship to honour Minnesota's famed Twin Cities. It was built by the consortium formed by Lockheed Martin and Fincantieri Marinette Marine in Wisconsin.
