The US Coast Guard has taken delivery of the Sentinel-class fast response cutter (FRC) Frederick Hatch from Bollinger Shipyards of Lockport, Louisiana.
Frederick Hatch will be the final one of three FRCs to be homeported in Apra Harbor, Guam, as part of the coast guard's plan to increase its presence in the Indo-Pacific Theatre.
Like its sisters, Frederick Hatch has a length of 46 metres, a beam of eight metres, and two MTU 4,300kW diesel engines that deliver a speed of 28 knots. It is the 43rd Sentinel-class FRC to be delivered to the US Coast Guard.
