Colorado-based Birdon recently delivered 14 bridge erection boats (BEBs) to the US Army National Guard at Salinas, Puerto Rico.

The primary mission of the BEBs is to provide tactical float bridging and rafting operations worldwide.

The vessels will also be used for reconnaissance, search and rescue (SAR), diving missions, transportation of troops, and natural disaster relief efforts.

Birdon is supplying close to 500 such boats to the US Army. All boats are being constructed at the company's facilities in Denver.
