New York’s Bayport Fire Department gets new rescue boat

The Bayport Fire Department in New York recently took delivery of a new fire rescue boat from Silver Ships of Alabama.

The boat measures 9.1 by three metres and is powered by twin outboard engines. The firefighting equipment includes two pumps and a bow-mounted fire monitor.

The boat has also been fitted with a bow door and patient access. The large cabin has seating for up to eight people as well as a patient bench and gear storage.

The newbuild will be operated in Great South Bay off Long Island.
