US defence and technology company Leidos has completed delivery of a new Seahawk autonomous vessel to the US Navy.

The craft is a long-range, high-availability ASV with a composite trimaran hull. This medium-displacement unmanned surface vehicle (MDUSV) will enhance capabilities for naval operations and may be fitted with various mission-specific payloads.

The ASV displaces 145 tons (147 tonnes) and has a total diesel fuel capacity of 14,000 gallons (53,000 litres) to enable long-endurance missions.
