The League City Volunteer Fire Department of League City, Texas, recently took delivery of a new response craft from Alabama-based Silver Ships.

The custom-built, nine-metre Marine 2 has been designated by the department as an all-hazards boat and will be utilised for firefighting, search and rescue (SAR), and dive support.

The boat is expected to enter operational service by February 1 to coincide with the official start of the recreational boating season.
