Huntington Ingalls Industries' (HII) Ingalls Shipbuilding division has successfully completed the builder's trials for the US Coast Guard's ninth Legend-class national security cutter, the future USCGC Stone.

The ship spent three days in the Gulf of Mexico testing propulsion and auxiliary equipment, as well as various shipboard systems.

The future Stone will then undergo final outfitting prior to delivery to the coast guard within the year.
