The future US Navy Freedom-class littoral combat ship (LCS) USS St. Louis has successfully concluded its acceptance trials after completing a series of graded in-port and underway demonstrations on the Great Lakes for the navy's Board of Inspection and Survey.

During the trials, the navy conducted comprehensive tests of the vessel intended to demonstrate the performance of the propulsion plant, ship handling, and auxiliary systems.

The future St. Louis will be delivered to the navy in the spring of 2020. After its commissioning, it will sail to Mayport, Florida, where it will become part of Littoral Combat Ship Squadron Two.
