The US Coast Guard and partner agencies have recovered the bodies of three more crewmembers from the liftboat Seacor Power, which capsized in the Gulf of Mexico off Port Fourchon, Louisiana, on Tuesday, April 13.

One unresponsive individual was spotted in the water by a coast guard helicopter at 19:10 local time on Thursday, April 15. This individual, an adult male, was then picked up by the coast guard cutter Benjamin B. Dailey.

The crewmember was later brought to Coast Guard Station Grand Isle in Louisiana, where a coroner pronounced him deceased.

On Friday, April 16, commercial divers contracted by vessel owner Seacor Marine recovered two more unresponsive people from the same waters.

The coast guard said recovery operations on Friday were temporarily suspended at mid-morning due to dangerous weather conditions. The operations were resumed at 13:30.

At 13:00 Central time on Monday, April 19, the coast guard, the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), and Seacor Marine are set to provide media updates on the ongoing effort to locate the liftboat's nine other crew across an area of over 3,700 square kilometres.

Only six of Seacor Power's crew survived the incident unharmed. They were rescued by the crews of the coast guard cutter Glen Harris, a coast guard response boat–medium, and Good Samaritan vessels within minutes of the liftboat's capsizing.

One unresponsive crewmember was found in the water in the early afternoon of Thursday.
