US-based SeaRobotics has deployed a 1.8-metre autonomous surface vehicle (ASV) to survey a 32-kilometre stretch of waterways in islands of the Bahamas affected by Hurricane Dorian in 2019.
The survey is being conducted in cooperation with Morgan and Eklund (M&E), a land and hydrographic survey firm.
The ASV is equipped with sensors that could gather accurate and detailed images of the condition of the waterways to assist in the ongoing post hurricane recovery efforts in the islands.
