A new hydrographic survey boat was recently delivered to the Baltimore District of the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).

Custom-built by Alabama-based Silver Ships to suit ABS class and USACE operational requirements, the 26-foot (7.92-metre), all-aluminium Buck was named after Richard Buck, a former survey section chief with the Baltimore District.

The boat is powered by two Honda 200hp (149kW) outboards and is equipped with single and multi-beam sonars for hydrographic surveys.
