Murfreesboro Fire Rescue gets new boat
Published on

The Fire Rescue Department of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, recently took delivery of a flat-bottom rescue boat acquired entirely through grant funding.

The department used US$24,824 donated by Florida-based non-profit Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to purchase the boat and a transport trailer.

The boat will be used for water rescues, flood evacuations, and deployments. It can also be connected to multiple boats from other agencies to create bridges, barges, and floating work platforms during inter-agency operations.
