US Senators Reverend Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff have confirmed the allocation of US$15 million in US Department of Transportation funding to help upgrade the existing infrastructure at the Port of Brunswick in Georgia.

According to the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA), the bipartisan infrastructure law funding will help GPA renovate and upgrade the East River Terminal. The project will entail demolishing and replacing the Berth Number Two Main Dock, replacing half of Berth Number Three, and improving other infrastructure around the terminal.

GPA expects the project to be completed by 2027.
