Invariably different inventive, interesting and innovative, research vessels, while there are far fewer of them than tugs or ferries, for example, keep being launched. Mostly owned by governments or well-funded research organisations, these vessels are generally designed and built with little expense spared. That tends to make them especially interesting.
This week on Baird Maritime, we have examples from Australia, China, and Russia. They are all quite different in most respects and brimming with innovative ideas that will be of value whatever kinds of vessels you own or operate.
