We once again highlight the global passenger vessel industry by reviewing an assortment of newbuild vessels entering service in the Asia-Pacific, Western Europe, and North America. The lineup includes ferries, cruise ships, and tour boats.

Interestingly, one of this week's featured vessels is a compact inter-island workboat that can transport people in addition to supporting nature preservation efforts in New Zealand's Bay of Islands region.

Ferries • Ro-Pax • Marine Tourism • Cruise • River/Lake Operations

Not surprisingly, the propulsion methods fitted on these vessels also vary, from large conventionally-fuelled engines to hybrid setups to small yet durable outboards.

Baird Maritime assures readers that the latest key developments concerning the passenger vessel sector will regularly be posted on these pages.
