We at Baird Maritime once again take a closer look at the maritime security sector, particularly the remarkable vessels within this sector. All but one of the five vessels reviewed this week were built and will be operated in Asia, indicating that this region continues to deliver viable solutions to defence and security users.

Assault Craft • Interceptors • Patrol • Police • Coast Guard • Naval

Our lineup of reviewed vessels include three surface combatants for the Thai and Indonesian navies, a multi-role patrol vessel for a Chinese maritime law enforcement agency, and a fisheries protection boat for the Falkland Islands. All five vessels are well-built and will no doubt provide adequate service in their respective areas of operation.

Continue to visit Baird Maritime over the coming days for the latest vessel deliveries and other notable developments happening in global maritime security.

News and Gear:

– by Radhey Tambi, research associate at Centre for Air Power Studies, New Delhi
