Installation/decommissioning and maintenance vessel operators are the main focus of this latest roundup of newly awarded charter contracts. Upcoming deployments will be in support of oil and gas clients in the North Sea, Africa, Australia, and the Americas.
Solstad bags multiple contracts for PSVs, CSVs
Solstad Offshore's platform supply vessel (PSV) Normand Sitella has been awarded a term contract with a UK operator to support the latter's assets in the North Sea. Commencement of the contract will be within March 2022 for an initial period of one year firm, with two optional years.
Normand Sitella will join the Solstad-owned PSVs Sea Falcon and Sea Forth working on term contract for the same operator. In addition, a one-year option on Sea Forth's contract has been declared, meaning this vessel is now on firm contract until March 2023, with a further optional year remaining.
Solstad has also secured multiple contract awards for the charter of several of its subsea construction vessels. The contracts have a combined firm utilisation of 640 days, with additional options thereafter, on projects in the North Sea, Brazil, and West Africa.
The contracts will be executed during 2022 by the construction support vessels (CSVs) Normand Maximus, Normand Frontier, Normand Pioneer, and Normand Navigator.
Lastly, Solstad has been selected to provide CSV support for various customers in the offshore renewables market.
Normand Australis has been awarded a 150 days' firm contract for walk-to-work services on an offshore wind project in Asia. The contract will commence during March 2022.
Normand Cutter has secured a 110 days' firm contract for a cable project in Northern Europe with commencement in February 2022.
Normand Fortress will undertake a 180 days' firm contract for walk-to-work services on an offshore wind project in Northern Europe. This contract will commence in April 2023.
North Sea 150-day charter awarded to BOA construction vessel
BOA OCV has been awarded a new contract in the North Sea for the subsea construction vessel BOA SUB C.
The contract is with a large international contractor for construction and decommissioning projects. Commencement of contract is May 2022 for a firm period of 150 days plus options.
If the options are declared, BOA SUB C will be utilised well into the second quarter of 2023.
DOF Subsea vessel secures Esso Australia long-term deployment
DOF Subsea, through subsidiary DOF Subsea Australia, has been awarded a long-term contract to provide a multi-purpose supply vessel (MPSV) to Esso Australia.
The contract has a firm period of three years and also includes two one-year options. Preparatory support services associated with the contract are underway while delivery of the vessel will commence later this year.
Inpex renews MMA contract for production support vessel
MMA Offshore has secured a contract renewal with Inpex Operations Australia for the charter of the vessel MMA Brewster to provide production support services.
The vessel will soon complete an initial five-year chartering service supporting Inpex-operated Ichthys LNG, having been designed and built specifically to support the energy company's offshore facilities in Australia's North West.
The new contract is for a firm period of five years, with five one-year extension options thereafter.
Prosafe accommodation platform tapped by BP Trinidad and Tobago
BP Trinidad and Tobago (BPTT) has chartered the Prosafe accommodation vessel Safe Concordia to provide gangway connected operations at the Cassia C development offshore Trinidad.
The firm duration of the contract will be approximately 160 days in direct continuation of Safe Concordia's current contract at Cassia C. Commencement is estimated for March 24, 2022.
BPTT has up to four weeks of options.
