Havfram secures decommissioning work in Mauritania
PC Mauritania 1, a wholly owned subsidiary of Petronas, has awarded Havfram a contract for the provision of engineering, procurement, retrieval, and disposal (EPRD) services for the abandonment and decommissioning of subsea facilities at the Chinguetti and Banda Fields offshore Mauritania.
Under the contract, Havfram will utilise its in-house expertise to project manage, engineer, retrieve and dispose of the remaining field infrastructure, having already executed Phase 1 decommissioning operations in 2018.
Havfram's project management and engineering team will be based in Havfram's Houston office in the United States. Work on the project has already commenced.
MMA Offshore tapped for subsea services in Qatar
MMA Offshore has been awarded an integrated vessel and subsea services contract to provide offshore construction support services in Qatar.
The campaign is due to commence in early June 2022 and will continue until December 2022. A multi-purpose support vessel will be deployed to Qatar to provide a range of subsea services in support of an undisclosed contractor working on a pipeline installation campaign.
Bourbon Subsea Services awarded EPCI contract by French offshore wind operator
Bourbon Subsea Services has been selected to contribute to the construction of the Eolmed project, a key pilot offshore wind farm of three floaters each fitted with 10MW turbines to be installed by mid-2024.
Bourbon's scope of work will consist in the complete farm offshore installation, and includes the detailed design, procurement, and fabrication of the floating electrical hub, the inter array cables, the anchoring and the mooring systems.
Works will be carried out at Eolmed's site off France's Mediterranean coast.
Fugro to continue site characterisation for Atlantic Shores
Fugro has been contracted to continue providing site characterisation services for New Jersey-based wind farm developer Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind.
This will be the third consecutive year that Fugro will perform site characterisation for Atlantic Shores. Geophysical, metocean, and environmental scopes of work are currently underway, while geotechnical services will commence in the coming weeks.
TechnipFMC to undertake EPCI for Equinor
TechnipFMC has been awarded an engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) contract by Equinor for subsea tiebacks for the Halten East development on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
The contract covers the manufacture and installation of flowlines and the installation of umbilicals and subsea structures. The development of Halten East consists of the Gamma, Harepus, Flyndretind, Nona, Sigrid and Natalia discoveries.
Halten East is a subsea development tied back to the existing infrastructure on the Åsgard field.
Subsea 7 selected for Petrobras installation project
Petrobras has selected Subsea 7 for the development of the Búzios 8 field located approximately 180 kilometres off the coast of Rio de Janeiro at 2,000 metres water depth in the pre-salt Santos basin.
The contract scope includes engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and pre-commissioning of approximately 126 kilometres of rigid risers and flowlines, 98 kilometres of flexible lines, and 88 kilometres of umbilicals and associated infrastructure, as well as installation of FPSO mooring lines and hook-up.
Project management and engineering will commence immediately at Subsea 7's offices in Rio de Janeiro and Paris. Fabrication of the pipelines will take place at Subsea 7's spoolbase at Ubu, Brazil and offshore operations are scheduled to be executed in 2024 and 2025 using one of Subsea 7's fleet of rigid-reeled pipelay vessels.
