Queensland, Australia-based boatbuilder Norman R. Wright and Sons has delivered a new pilot boat to PNG Ports Corporation.

Named Davage after a beach in Papua New Guinea, the 14.2-metre vessel is a sister of Siabo, which was delivered earlier this year. The new boat will also be used for port security and coastal patrol duties near Port Moresby and within Caution Bay.

Two Yanmar 294kW main engines will propel the craft to speeds of up to 25.8 knots. Up to seven pilots/passengers can be accommodated besides the two-person crew.
