Poisoning incident at Napier Port

Six people have been hospitalised as a result of a carbon monoxide poisoning incident at 20:00 last night that occurred on log vessel, Nord Yilan, berthed at Napier Port.

The incident involved staff from stevedoring company ISO, who are employed by log exporter, Ernslaw One.

Emergency services responded to the incident and regulator Maritime New Zealand came on-site following the incident and has started an investigation.
