An Australian livestock carrier bound for the Middle East was detained on Friday, November 23, due to unstable sailing.

Video provided by Melbourne's 3AW AM radio station shows the 127- by 19-metre Jawan rocking violently from side to side as it was departing the port of Portland in Victoria. Its final destination was Muscat in Oman.

The ship was carrying 4,327 cows at the time.

Jawan quickly returned to port where it has since been detained. The vessel's entire cargo of cattle has been offloaded.
