Platform supply vessels (PSVs) have secured new work for clients in New Zealand, Australia, and the Norwegian continental shelf while a subsea maintenance and construction vessel will undergo emissions-reducing modifications as part of a recently awarded charter in Norway.
MMA Offshore PSV tapped for drilling support in New Zealand
MMA Offshore's PSV MMA Leeuwin will be deployed to provide drilling support services for OMV in the Taranaki Basin in New Zealand.
The contract will commence in late September 2022 and will have a firm period of 200 days. Options are available to extend by up to 150 days.
The contract, valued at just over AU$10 million (US$6.9 million), covers the vessel mobilisation to and from Western Australia plus the firm operational days on site in New Zealand.
Eidesvik PSV secures three years' work with Aker BP
Eidesvik Offshore has been awarded a three-year contract with Aker BP for the PSV Viking Prince. The contract is awarded under the two companies' current frame agreement.
The contract for Viking Prince will commence after completion of the vessel's ongoing contract with Equinor.
Solstad awarded long-term contract in Australia
Solstad Offshore's PSV Normand Swan has been awarded a term contract in Australia. The vessel will operate in support of an unnamed energy company for a firm period of two years.
Additional options are also available to the client following the firm period.
Commencement of the contract is scheduled during September 2022.
Volstad IMR vessel wins four-year charter with Reach Subsea
Reach Subsea has entered into an agreement with Volstad Maritime for use of the subsea vessel Deep Cygnus for four years, with an option to extend by one year.
The vessel will be installed with launch and recovery systems (LARS) and ROVs prior to delivery to Reach Subsea. Installation of batteries for low-emission operations is scheduled for the winter of 2023/2024.
Reach Subsea will mobilise the vessel during February/March 2023 and use the vessel on projects within the inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) and light construction segments of the oil and gas and renewables sectors.
