Kotug has deployed two of its newest tugs to support the activities of mining company BHP in Western Australia.

Sister vessels RT Imperieuse (pictured) and RT Clerke will operate under charter to BHP to provide ship assist and escort services for bulk carriers loading at Port Hedland. A total of eight Kotug vessels will now be operating out of the port.

The two tugs were built at a shipyard in Hong Kong. Each has a bollard pull of 80 tonnes courtesy of three Caterpillar main engines that have a total output of 5,295 kW.
