Recently completed vessel deliveries include a hybrid ferry for a German operator, a new cruise ship for a US-based company, and two tour boats to customers in Australia and France.
Germany's SFK welcomes third hybrid ferry to fleet
German operator Schlepp- und Fahrgesellschaft Kiel (SFK) has taken delivery of its newest hybrid ferry, the 33.5-metre Wik.
Built by the Holland Shipyards Group, the newbuild is the third ferry in a series of four ordered by SFK. The final vessel in the series is scheduled for delivery in early 2026.
Wik's hybrid propulsion system consists of two 255kW electric propulsion motors and a 273kWh battery pack. The batteries are designed for overnight charging.
SFK will operate Wik alongside sister vessel Friedrichsort in the Kieler Fjord.
Disney Cruise Line takes delivery of newest ship
Disney Cruise Line recently took delivery of Disney Wish, a new cruise ship built by German shipyard Meyer Werft.
Disney Wish is the fifth ship in Disney Cruise Line's current fleet. It measures 1,119 feet (341 metres) long and has capacity for 5,500 guests.
The vessel is scheduled to sail on its maiden operational voyage out of Port Canaveral, Florida, on July 14.
New boat delivered to French dive tour operator
French builder Bord a Bord has delivered a new aluminium dive boat to local tour operator CAP Trebeurden.
The newbuild can accommodate 30 divers plus crew. Power is provided by two Suzuki 223kW petrol engines.
Design work on the vessel was provided by local firm Oeuvres Vives Architecture Navale.
Catamaran charter boat to operate in Great Barrier Reef
SeaCat Ships of Thailand has delivered a new charter vessel to an unnamed repeat customer in Australia.
Named Reef Inspector, the 22-metre expedition catamaran is ideal for luxury offshore cruising and is also suited for VIP day and overnight charter operations. It is fitted out for scuba and snorkelling trips out to the Great Barrier Reef and is fitted with a dive compressor and scuba gear.
The vessel has been built in accordance with Australian commercial vessel standards 1C (80 passengers plus five crew) and Class 2B for 12 Passengers plus four crew (Overnight) criteria with hull and deckhouse to Lloyd's Register SSC standard for offshore operations.
