Spanish operator FRS Iberia recently acquired a high-speed catamaran ferry formerly operated by Sado Steam Ship of Niigata, Japan.

Built in 2015 by Australian shipyard Incat, the 85-metre aluminium vessel can transport 692 passengers and 151 vehicles at speeds of up to 40 knots courtesy of Caterpillar main engines.

The ferry will be renamed Levante Jet following its arrival in the Spanish port of Algeciras this August.
