New Zealand-based transport operator Fullers360 and Auckland Transport (AT), the transport oversight organisation of the Auckland Council, have formed a new public-private partnership that will secure long-term investment and commitment to Auckland's ferry network through the introduction of a new fleet of hybrid electric ferries.

Fullers360 will operate the five AT-owned and -funded vessels, which will have Hamilton waterjets and shore charging capability.

Fullers360 will manage the research and development, design, and delivery of the new vessels. These will operate alongside two other planned ferries that will have all-electric propulsion.
