Jianglong lays keel of new Emerald-class vessel for Sydney Ferries

Jianglong Shipbuilding has held a keel-laying ceremony for a new Emerald-class passenger catamaran ordered by Australia's Sydney Ferries.

The Incat Crowther-designed Emerald Gen 2 will have an aluminium alloy hull, a length of 40 metres, and seating for up to 400 passengers.

Jianglong and Port Macquarie-based shipbuilder Birdon will be collaborating on the vessel's construction.
