Richardson Devine Marine of Tasmania has begun construction on a new vessel for local tour operator World Heritage Cruises (WHC).

The Incat Crowther-designed catamaran will replace Harbour Master, an existing vessel in the WHC fleet.

Onboard amenities will include a bar, wi-fi access, and greater interior space compared to Harbour Master. Four Scania DI16 076 main engines driving a quartet of Doen DJ200 waterjets will deliver a speed of 25 knots.

The launch of the new vessel is expected to take place by the end of 2020. It is slated for operation on Tasmania's Gordon River.
