The Australian Defence Force (ADF) handed over a rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) to the Bahrain Defence Force on Tuesday, February 16.

The RHIB was formerly assigned to the Australian Maritime Task Group — Middle East Region and will now be operated by the Royal Bahrain Naval Force.

The boat has been deployed aboard various Royal Australian Navy ships and was utilised primarily as a boarding craft for at-sea inspections and interdictions under Operation Manitou, the Australian government's contribution to the international effort to promote maritime security, stability, and prosperity in the Middle East Region.
