Austral Fisheries’ newest vessel arrives in Fremantle
Published on

Western Australia-based Austral Fisheries recently welcomed its newest multi-purpose fishing vessel in Fremantle following a 45-day voyage from Måløy, Norway.

Cape Arkona was designed by Skipskompetanse while its hull was constructed by Marine Projects in Gdansk, Poland, and was later transported to Båtbygg in Måløy for completion.

The newbuild is designed for autolining, potting, and trawling. All three fishing methods may be performed on a single trip if necessary.

Cape Arkona will be used to fish for icefish and Patagonian toothfish.
