South African rescue charity National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) recently held an official naming ceremony for its newest lifeboat.
The donated rigid inflatable boat (RIB) Gemini Legend was built by local company Gemini Marine Boats. It has an LOA of 6.5 metres, a beam of 2.4 metres, and seating for up to eight people including crew and passengers.
The newbuild will be operated out of the NSRI station in Bakoven on the country's south-western coast.
