United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) has been awarded a contract for a new small research vessel to be operated by Sebastopol State University.
The vessel, which will be named Pioner-M, will be utilised for marine biological research in coastal areas.
Construction will take place at the facilities of USC subsidiary Zvezdochka Shipyard.
