Two rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) built by Rafnar's UK subsidiary are set to join an upcoming Antarctic research expedition by an unnamed organisation.
The newbuilds have been christened Scott and Shackleton after the famed British explorers Sir Robert Falcon Scott and Sir Ernest Shackleton.
The RIBs have a top speed of 40 knots and could operate in rough seas with slamming reduced by as much as 80 per cent.
