Canadian workboat firms MetalCraft Marine (MCM) and Stanley Custom Aluminum Boats have joined forces with a partnership agreement.

MetalCraft has experience with large vessels up to 27.4 metres long for military, law enforcement, and fire/rescue operations, and Stanley Boats with smaller vessels from 4.2 metres and up for specialty commercial work.

Designed for continuous duty, the purpose-built boats are used worldwide in the energy business, conservation, crew transport and public safety. Both companies have been in business independently since 1988.

Under the partnership, the companies believe the integration of design and engineering capabilities will improve efficiencies and reduce costs, as well as result in significant new investment.

Bill Connor of Connor Industries will be president of MetalCraft Marine and MetalCraft Marine US.

On the MCM side, Tom Wroe will be retiring as president, a company he led from its inception.
