Robert Allan Ltd has completed the design of two new escort tugs in a series for Bukser og Berging of Lysaker, Norway.
Each tug will have a length of 30.45 metres, a beam of 12.8 metres, a draught of 6.2 metres, a crew of seven, and two 2,200kW IMO Tier III-compliant engines that will deliver a bollard pull of approximately 75 tonnes.
The vessels are the sixth and seventh tugs ordered by Bukser og Berging from Turkey's Sanmar Shipyards. Delivery of the first unit is expected in the autumn of 2020.
