Technology group Wärtsilä will design and equip one of PSA Marine's newbuilding harbour tugs for operations in the port of Singapore.

Ordered in March and to be built at PaxOcean Shipyard, the 28-metre, 50-tonne bollard pull harbour tug will operate with two dual-fuel engines running primarily on LNG fuel.

Wärtsilä will supply its LNGPac fuel storage and supply system, steerable thrusters and ProTouch control system by the end of 2018.

The harbour tug is expected to begin port operations in the middle of 2019.
