Stena Bulk is set to conduct tests of a vessel running on 100 per cent biofuel in the coming weeks.
The biofuel has been bunkered on the MR tanker Stena Immortal and will be used to power the main engine in normal operations.
Stena Bulk said that the biofuel, which will be supplied by Rotterdam-based GoodFuels, is produced from used cooking oil and is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by as much as 83 per cent.
