Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) cut the first steel for a new very large crude carrier (VLCC) on Tuesday, May 19.
The vessel will be the second in a series that SWS is building for Greek owner Pantheon Tankers Management (PTM).
The VLCC will have a deadweight of 114,000 tonnes and will be classed by ABS.
