Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK), through Singapore-based subsidiary NYK Bulkship Asia, has entered into a long-term time charter contract with Methanex Corporation's Waterfront Shipping for two newly built chemical tankers.
The new ships will each be equipped with a dual-fuel engine that may also run on methanol as well as conventional marine fuel oils.
Delivery is scheduled for 2022 upon completion at Hyundai Mipo Dockyard.
