Baird Maritime

Japan Marine United recently delivered a new very large crude carrier (VLCC) to Yokohama-based shipowner Liberian Jerboa Transports.

Named Eneos Dream, the Panamanian-flaged Malaccamax newbuild will be used primarily for the transport of Middle East crude to Japan.

The tanker has an LOA of 339.5 metres, a beam of 60 metres, a draught of 21.08 metres, and space for 30 crewmembers. One WinGD W7X82 diesel engine delivers a speed of 15.5 knots.

Eneos Dream also boasts SOx scrubbers, an optimised hull form, and stainless steel cargo tanks coated in IMO PSPC IV-compliant paint.
