Canadian JV plans supply/subsea base at Newfoundland

A new joint venture Canadian Supply Base Company (CSBC) has unveiled its plans to develop a multi-user supply and subsea base at Bull Arm, Newfoundland.

Formed by NorSea Group and Integrated Logistics, CSBC's one-stop shop port cluster would incorporate supply base services (quayside operations, warehousing, laydown areas, bulks and marine gas oil facilities) with subsea services and fabrication, and an industrial estate for supply and service companies.

CSBS Chair Denis Dupuis said the clusters can host more than 50 companies and employing more than 2,500 people in its mature state.

The proposal complements a provincial government plan to support the Newfoundland and Labrador oil and gas industry until 2030.
