Taiwan's Wisdom Marine Group has taken delivery of Amis Star, a new 61,000DWT bulk carrier built by the Dalian COSCO KHI Ship Engineering (DACKS) partnership of Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) and China COSCO Shipping Corporation.
The vessel has an LOA of 199.9 metres, a moulded beam of 32.24 metres, a draught of 13 metres, a crew of 25, four 30-tonne deck cranes, and a cargo capacity of 77,539 cubic metres. One MAN B&W 6S50ME-B9.3 8,130kW diesel engine delivers a speed of 14.5 knots.
Amis Star will be operated jointly with China COSCO Shipping Corporation.
