Hamburg-based heavy transport service provider United Heavy Lift (UHL) is set to take over nine new cargo vessels in a series from an unnamed shipbuilder.
Each vessel will have a cargo hold capacity of approximately 30,000 cubic metres, a deck area of 3,125 square metres, and a crane with a lifting capacity of 900 tonnes.
The company said the newbuildings' carbon emissions will be 30 to 50 per cent lower compared to those of other heavy lift vessels currently operating in the market.
