SwissMarine signs time charter contract for Norfolk

Diana Shipping has entered into a time charter contract with Geneva-based SwissMarine Services for its Capesize dry bulk vessel Norfolk.

The Norfolk is a 164,218 dwt vessel built in 2002.

The gross charter rate is US$13,250 per day, minus a five per cent commission paid to third parties, for a period between 21 months and 24 months.

The charter for the US$8.3 million contract is expected to start on December 1.

Diana Shipping's vessels are used to transport cargoes such as iron ore, coal, grain and other materials along worldwide shipping routes.
