Finnlines takes delivery of final hybrid Ro-Ro in series

Finnlines has taken delivery of the third and final freight-only Ro-Ro vessel in a series built for the company by China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Jiangsu).

Like earlier sisters Finneco I and Finneco II, Finneco III is 238 metres long and has a cargo capacity of 5,800 lane metres. This translates into up to 400 trailers being transported on each voyage.

Two 12,780kW engines deliver a design speed of 20.7 knots.

Finneco III's emissions reduction technologies include an air lubrication system, a battery pack, an exhaust gas abatement system, solar panels, a waste heat recovery system, and a ballast water treatment system.
